For a start, we begin with the important reference which provided the starting point for Mechanical Biological Treatment in the UK.

This report which first promoted MBT as we know it today, was the UK Government's Strategy Unit Report, "Waste Not, Want Not" (November 2002). Click here to view the Annex G: Treatment and Disposal of Residual Waste.
